Prepare to be amazed! Designed to showcase digital art created right here in the region, The Digital Salon: Art and Pixels exhibit features the work of students and faculty from East Tennessee State University’s Digital Media department. Items on display will include animations, photography, digital sculpture, character work, and illustrations. There will even be examples of game design.
Everything in this exhibit was created using a variety of software packages, including Maya, Unreal, Photoshop, Illustrator, and others–many of which will be available to Create Appalachia members in our two Centers for Art and Technology. While this year’s show is limited to work created at ETSU, future shows will be open to entries from digital artists around the region. Create Appalachia plans to host The Digital Salon annually from July to August.
Looking for an after-hours opportunity to see The Digital Salon: Art and Pixels? Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, July 7th from 6 to 8 in our gallery space at 225 West Center Street, Kingsport. We’re also having an open house on the Saturday, July 16th, featuring the exhibit plus tours of our Kingsport Center for Art and Technology. See you at the KCAAT!
