“Protect Your Brand with a Trademark” – Arts@Work

Creatives generate intellectual property—and that property is valuable! Learn how to protect your brand goodwill with a federal trademark using advice and information from John Wood, one of our Create Appalachia board members and an experienced intellectual property attorney. You’ll gain a basic understanding of trademarks, including what a trademark can do for a small business.

This workshop is part of Create Appalachia’s Arts@Work series, designed to provide affordable professional development for creatives in our region. In this interactive session, John will cover basics regarding trademarks, explain what makes trademarks valuable, and outline trademark considerations for startups. He’ll give examples, answer questions, and generally work to demystify the process of making sure that your brand is protected.
