We’re thrilled to have Barbara Raymond join our Board of Directors! Barbara has already been and active volunteer at Create Appalachia, lending a hand with everything from cleaning closets, to creating policies and procedures, and doing some IT work. We’re happy to have her talent at our service!

Originally from Syracuse, New York, Barbara moved to East Tennessee in 2014 to work for Eastman Chemical.  Barbara has over 30 years of Human Resources and Information Technology experience and has worked for both large international corporations and higher education.  Prior to returning to school to earn her bachelor’s degree, Barbara spent ten years working for various non-profit organizations such as the American Red Cross and United Cerebral Palsy.  This gives her insight into the challenges and rewards of working for non-profit institutions.  Since her retirement in 2023, Barbara has been a volunteer with Create Appalachia, focussing primarily on policies and procedures and supporting the IT needs of the organization.
